 I like #1 and 2 better than 3.

So, when is the show again?

Is this for a Hazel cover band or something?

 I need an electric guitar.

I truly love it. However, I think TJO should play right before Hazel since she's an international recording star and Davies V Dresch have played about 5 shows.

ok, brady thought 19 songs was too many, and deleted king twist, perfect pot, and jilted, but restored comet. me, i would delete cosmic allison and restore jilted, and then redelete comet, if only to spark a factional dispute, though we could just play the first few bars and BREAK UP ON STAGE.

god, i love you guys,

ferd

p.s. ok, ok, let's just go with brady's, but without comet, unless jody relents:

Could you Forward my last email to Brady and Jody? I pushed the wrong button, and don't feel like re-typing what is probably my strongest email to date.

Folks

I gotta say no to Ringing in My Ears...I dunno, maybe it's the "Inky black..." line. Very bad very bad. No play.BUT, I would play Comet, if only to help rouse a factional dispute and increase the odds of breaking up on stage, and I might suggest Blank Fla. as a replacement for Ringing... Or we COULD do the collegiate fight song medley AS I MENTIONED IN A PREVIOUS EMAIL THAT NO ONE SEEMED TO FUCKING GIVE THE TIME OF DAY TO. WHATS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??!!?? iT'S THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE for FUCKS SAKE!!!!

Sorry.

I'm a little stressed out at the moment. Do we really have to do this? My leather pants don't fit anymore. Are there going to be posters?

I can't play wintogreen, so we have to remove it. Sorry. I shouldn't be playing at all, my arms are so fucked up, but I can't say no to hazel, or donna, or almost anyone who asks me to play drums. Trading wintogreen for jilted.

I don't want to play comet but I will if everyone else forces me.

ok, fort spans, here's our final confirmed uncontrovertible

line-up -

tara jane oneil

hazel

also, tod asked about "benefit" status. i suggested that we not apportion proceeds beforehand, to be sure that at least our and our lineup's transport costs are covered. he suggested the following publicity sentence, "portions of proceeds to benefit Outside-In".

he also said he'd email his (lengthy) list of hzl fans for poster graphics ideas and pick the best (in consultation with any of us interested). any band photos y'all would like to see, say so quick.

your manager/producer par (i might add) excellance,

fred,

we would love to open for hazel. unfortunately, due to the fact that i have been in california these past few months, we have not had enough practice to play in early february. i don't move back to portland until mid-march. i am sorry that i will miss your show, i hope it goes well. thanks for asking.

thanks, yes, i think we have tara jane as solo act, but if the s-k's don't get right back, i say jump right in. except tod said quasi would probably not be perfect to open for us because they were opening for you 2 weeks later. what you think? what j the j think?

First off, let me just say hi Donna. I loved you in Pettycoat Junction. Secondly, these are all AWESOME songs. But there are 19 of 'em. This is good in one way, figuring we each fuck up a couple of songs, and if they're not the same two songs, that leaves 11 that aren't fucked up. On the other hand, we'll never play 19 songs.

Here's my dream list, but I just play quarter notes anyways, so I don't expect this list to stick.

"day glo" - a nice, familiar way to start.

"wint-o-green" - fast, punky, familiar yet not overplayed

"Ohio Player" - get the hips movin'

"cosmic allison" - Wow! Why did this band ever...go on hiatus?

"Ringing in My Ears" - lull them into a false sense of security

"Airiana" - a.k.a. Hairy armpits - okay, we're not fucking around here

"joe louis" - one to the body

"j.hell" - one to the face

"My Second Chance" (Hold the hand) - pick them up off the floor and whisper sweetly in their ears

"Mr. Magazine Man" - Who's saying what? I don't even know! This is so great!

"Constipation" - potty humor. You gotta have potty humor. Ooops, farted.

"Comet" - much maligned, but well-designed

"Big Fatty" - No, thanks, already smoked one

AND...in bloated, addled rock star fashion, the planned encore:

"boog" - gives Jody time to pick up the drum set, Pete time to tune the remaining four strings on his borrowed electric guitar, and Ferd time to locate found objects. Besides, the Orioles made some amazing off-season moves...

"truly" - which song is this? I forget how it goes.

"tainted love" - practically our theme song.

Well? Return volleys?
